Coach Todd Dodge is a seven time Texas High School Football State Championship Head Coach and is credited with building and leading two of the most respected programs - Southlake Carroll and Austin Westlake - over the course of his career.
Coach Dodge returned to full time coaching after a short retirement as the Head Coach and Athletic Director at Lovejoy High School in 2024. The Leopards had a 10-4 record, reaching the 4th round of the 5A playoffs. In addition to his role at Lovejoy, coach Dodge will host his 34th annual quarterbacks and wide receivers camps in the summer of 2025 in both the DFW Metroplex and the Coastal Bend region of Texas. His career record is 244-76 with a playoff record of 73-9.
Coach Dodge stepped away from full time coaching after the 2021 season, after leading Austin Westlake to a three-peat championship run in 2019, 2020 and 2021. His prior championship teams were with Southlake Carroll, with title teams in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
The seven titles are the third most for a coach in Texas history; Dodge with seven, GA Moore with eight, Scott Surratt with eight and counting, and the Texas High School legend Gordon Wood with nine all time. Dodge’s seven championship’s were all won at the the highest classification in Texas.
In addition to the Texas State Championships, two of his teams were awarded the mythical National Championship while at Southlake Carroll. Coach Dodge was also the head coach at the University of North Texas, as well as several other high school programs across Texas.
As a quarterback, Dodge set Texas High School state records (single season yards and most career completions) while at Port Arthur Jefferson before his career at the University of Texas (1982-1985).
Coach is married to Elizabeth Neptune Dodge and together they have 5 grandchildren. Their son Riley and his wife Alexis have 4 children and their daughter, Molly has 1 child.

In his 30+ year career, Coach Dodge was bestowed with three National Coach of the Year Awards and two State Coach of the Year Awards:

In 2022, Coach Dodge was inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame as well as being inducted as a Texas Gridiron Legend during the 2022 TaxAct Texas Bowl.
Coach Dodge amassed a 234-72 record at the high school level where he is considered an innovator of the spread offense in the state of Texas. He has coached eight State Offensive Players of the Year: Cade Klubnik, Sam Ehlinger, Chase Wasson, Chase Daniel, Greg McElroy, Riley Dodge, Ricky Lay and Max Knake.
